Closure of the Gift C.A.R.D. Program
Thank you for your interest in Family Service Toronto's Gift C.A.R.D. program (Create A Real Difference). Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the program this year. The Gift C.A.R.D. program was established to enable our donors and supporters to have a direct impact on the lives of our clients by donating gift cards for client use. Receiving gift cards gave clients the flexibility to purchase the items that they needed as they need them. Our experience, however, has been that the Gift C.A.R.D. program consumed a tremendous amount of staff resources from October to December. In addition, the small temporary financial relief the gift cards provided clients did not align with our mission to strengthen families and individuals in just and supportive communities. We have therefore decided not to run the program any more.
Family Service Toronto provides support to individuals and families experiencing difficult transitions all year round. We always welcome support from generous donors to help us achieve our mission. If you were interested in donating a gift card to Family Service Toronto, please consider making a financial donation instead.
